LED Screens and fire hazard

Did you know that LED screens burn?

The materials of LED screens are mainly made of plastic. Plastics burn. For this reason, safety and approval authorities rightly place high demands on the installation of LED screens.

Wherever LED walls are used and a large screen can become a fire hazard, such as in industry, airports, train stations, stadiums, event halls, shopping centers or subways, their installations often fail due to the relevant fire protection regulations.

Permits in these areas are often only granted through elaborate countermeasures such as smoke extraction systems, fire alarm systems or even sprinkler systems, which usually results in very high additional costs for project implementation and the maintenance and servicing of these countermeasures.

We have developed a solution with a patented technology that improves the fire behavior of LED screens in a multi-layer process in Europe and can even achieve building material classes A2-s1-d0 according to the EN 13501-1 standard.
